DULICHIUM -

Description of dulichium

This aquatic plant is commonly known as Water Bamboo. Though it doesn't belong to the Bamboo family, it does resemble the plant. This plant can grow 2 feet high or more. It has slender, green leaves and tiny, unnoticeable flowers during the summer.

Potting of dulichium

In very cold climates, it should be brought into a greenhouse or house during the winter; otherwise it may be grown outdoors throughout the year around the edge of your water garden. Grow the Water Bamboo in 1-gallon containers or larger, in sun or partial shade. It can be covered in up to 4 inches of water.

Propagation of dulichium

The clumps may be divided in the spring or summer.

Varieties of dulichium

Dulichium arundinaceum.
