HEUCHERELLA - Heucherel'la

Description of heucherella

These perennials are hybrids of Heuchera and Tiarella. Heucherella tiarelloides forms thick carpets of rounded, lobed, mid-green leaves with serrated and scalloped margins. In early summer, long sprays of tiny, bell-shaped, pink flowers are produced. Heucherella alba 'Bridget Bloom' produces tiny pale rose-pink flowers in long-stemmed sprays intermittently from early summer to fall. These plants grow up to 18 inches high.

Potting of heucherella

Grow these plants in moist, well-drained soil, in sun or partial shade.

Propagation of heucherella

These plants may be divided in the spring or fall. Only the outer, young portions of the crown should be replanted.
